Football games, Tribal Tales, and hanging out at Buckroe Beach with friends.
What have you been doing the last few decades?:
After college, moved out of state and settled in NC. Did the corporate IT thing for 15+ years. Have had my own company (TPCS) since 1988... now working it full time. Loving my current contract as a Senior Business Analyst in Raleigh. Great schedule...three nights out of town during the week, then home to Winston-Salem to be with my husband (Buzz) and dughter (Kelsey) for long weekend. I even have my first "big girl" apartment in Raleigh. Feel like I'm leading a cool "double life".

What is your best memory from Kecoughtan?:
Working with the newspaper and the amazing English teachers who really pushed us -- with the Moody Blues --
What have you been doing the last few decades?:
After 25-plus years with newspapers and magazines, I left my job with Florida Today (a Gannett paper published in Melbourne by the USA Today people). I began teaching high school journalism, English, speech and critical thinking.

I've been married almost 30 years and have a 30-years plus stepdaughter (she has a 4-yr-old) and a 7-year-old, who was adopted from China in 2003 (remember SARS) and it was the best thing we ever did.
From Linda:
Life is too short and we never stop learning and changing.  I went back for graduate education classes after many years out of school.

What is your best memory from Kecoughtan?:
Mrs. Johnson took our DE class to New York...two of my best girlfriends and I got to share a room, we had a blast, site seeing, shopping and oh yeah learning about retail which was the reason for our trip. LOL
What have you been doing the last few decades?:
I graduated in the summer of 75 because I just couldn't wait to get married to Randy Boone, which I did 10 days after graduation. On our third year anniversary we had a son Tim. Ten months later the marriage ended. After working in restaurants, retail and a factory I decided to go back to school to get a degree. I graduated the medical assistant program in 1984 and that same year remarried.
Dan and I had our daughter Nicole in 1986. I worked in the medical field from 84 until I retired from Hpt Rds Neuro in 2008 to care for my elderly father. I now enjoying staying home, going to the beach, reading, cross-stitching and spending time with my family and friends.

What is your best memory from Kecoughtan?:
I loved sports, especially soccer and track! Coached by Lindsay we were the best muddy field soccer team in Warrior history. Flanked by the greatest strikers, Jack Zamora, Dickie Robinson, and Jeff Routten, we were unbeatable. My stupidest stunt at KHS almost barred me from graduation. I mistakenly thought I could get away with riding my Harley down “C” corridor, escaping through the smoking area. I made it believing nobody would give me up. WRONG!!! The teachers were great at KHS, especially Mrs. Seals and Mrs. Pleasant. They were really looking out for me in "75".
What have you been doing the last few decades?:
“The last Decades”... are you kidding me… I having trouble with last week =) !
OK, after graduation I sold my Harley, went to Piney Point Merchant Marine Academy then headed south to Louisiana. Ten years later I thought I had it together; an Ocean Masters License, great job, no relational commitments, and a condo in Destin Florida. Then it happened! I was home for Christmas and I "saw her again," WOW “Kathie Duvall” (class of 74). My ocean goin' days were numbered! I was suddenly struck with the dreaded mariner’s disease “channel fever”. We were married in 1983, I traded my Master’s License for a badge and S&W 357 magnum (now those of you that knew me then, well it’s a God relationship thing now). Now and forever, Kathie is the joy of my life, we have two beautiful kids, I mean young adults, and we live in the beautiful Town of Smithfield, VA. Last year was incredible, I had a liver transplant. Many of our Warrior Town family and friends (God knows who you are) stood by us in prayer and support. I was just hours away from eternity, I was ready; my doctors had tried their best, then our Father God took over. My life was spared, an Easter miracle. A Matthew chapter 6 kinda man was willing to lay his life down to save mine, incredible faith, and love restored my life. Lastly, I had a dream about the reunion and this line from one of my favorite movies kept playing over and over again “Peter...Peter...PETER it is you, there you are”. Did anyone else have that dream? Kathie and I hope to see many of you at the reunion next month.

From Kurt:
Kurt's Poem'
Blessed, quickened, born to run.  A moment in time grasped with awesome sounds, splashed with realistic sighs... oh optimism. Clever innocence steer me on to childlike faith, believing that all things are possible. Free birds released, feathered in our spirits,  beckoned wave lengths tuned to WOWI.   "Do you recall what was revealed? " Hurry now..dial to WVEC at 4ish.  “Riddle me this Batman” Oh, what an escaped buzz thou art, our Dynamic Duo, *POW” “Bang” ‘Punch’.  Close your eyes now, can you see?  Listen to lazy, glistening waves on Buckroe Beach.  Party Grandview then VB.  Oh, now awakened on OBX.  Feeling cool, summer breeze ...wow "catch a wave", “Wouldn’t it be nice if we were Older”!  Have you found your Love?   I have ...“75” it’s YOU.
